A Lincoln inmate has been given more time after his mother allegedly smuggled methamphetamine-laced material into prison.
Andre Baskin was sentenced Wednesday to one to two years for the incident, but credit for time served means he will be released in less than two months.
Baskin's mother Julie is accused of secreting the methamphetamine-laced threads under stamps sent to her son in December 2010. She has pleaded not guilty to a charge of conspiracy to convey an article to an inmate. She is awaiting trial.
Baskin was serving a 4-6-year sentence at the time at the Nebraska State Penitentiary. He was later released and living in a halfway house when the meth smuggling case sent him back to prison.
