An Omaha mother went from dealing with one to two criminal cases Monday. Police say she left her 4-year-old son alone in her car, so that she could go to court.
Aleisha Petti, 22, was arrested for child neglect and for having no proof of insurance or valid registration.
She had been downtown for a court date connected to more driving charges: licensing a vehicle without liability insurance, driving with no valid registration, and no license.
According to court records, Petti has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The child was put in the care of Petti's friend.
Petti is out on bond. According to court records, she faces seven misdemeanors.
