A four-year-old boy is safe and sound after causing a scare when he disappeared from a metro Walmart store Tuesday.
The store on 72nd and Pine, just south of Pacific, was locked down for approximately 45 minutes.
Police were called in and the child was eventually located around 9 p.m. at his home in a nearby apartment. He apparently walked there from the store.
Shopper Chelsea Jackson said, "They were not letting anyone in and out of the store for a 30 minute period.”
When the incident was resolved, Chelsea said the shoppers were told, “ ‘Uh sorry.’ They apologized to everybody."
