The Millard West High School Marching Band hit the streets for a neighborhood parade on Saturday.
Nearly 160 musicians marched the six-mile route. Families who donated to the band were treated to a mini-concert right on their front lawn.
Travis Collins graduated from Millard West and was a band member. “Being on the sidelines is great. It was fun to be out there and playing an instrument, but man when you get to be cheering them on and screaming, hollering, there's nothing better."
The money raised will go toward a trip next year, possibly to a bowl game.
