Metro Girl to be Honored for Bravery

A 12-year-old Omaha girl will be recognized by Omaha Police this week. Katelyn Allen will receive an award for bravery and courage at her elementary school on Wednesday.

Two weeks ago, Katelyn was inside her home when two suspects kicked in the door. She called 911 after locking herself in a room and then she left the house through a window.

Police say she did exactly what she should have done in that situation.
