A close call and near accident on an Omaha street leads a Metro Bus Driver to file an assault charge.
The driver of the bus, a 41-year-old man filed the report at Omaha Police Headquarters.
According to the victim he was driving in the area of 60th and Blondo when a car rolled through the intersection and almost collided with the bus.
A short distance away the driver stopped and opened the door and the driver of the other car, according to the bus driver, jumped on and began yelling at him. The argument quickly escalated and ended when the other driver allegedly punched him and left the bus.
According to the police report the driver did show signs of a strike; a bruised left eye and small cut.
Because the driver and some of his passengers remembered the make and model of the other car and the license plate number officers were able to speak to the owner of the vehicle. She denied knowing anything about the incident.
The report does not indicate that officers have contacted the suspect.
