A memorial wall is coming to Cass County. It will be there the week of the Plattsmouth Harvest Festival.
The Wall features pictures and biographies of those Nebraska men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Cassgram reports Plattsmouth’s Blaine E. Redding of the U.S. Army is among those honored on the wall. Sgt. Redding was killed in while serving in Afghanistan in June of 2010.
The Wall arrives Sunday, September 4th at Plattsmouth VFW Post #2543 and is on view through Saturday, September 10th from noon to 10pm each day. A special opening ceremony is at 2pm on Sunday.
There is no charge to view the Wall but free will donations are accepted. When you’re visiting, food is available at the VFW beginning on Tuesday.
