They laced up their running shoes Monday morning for the annual Boys Town Memorial Day Run. Meanwhile, organizers were busy collecting donated shoes for the less fortunate.
Most of the shoes received were of the running variety, but every size and style is needed. “People that are going out looking for jobs, maybe some dress shoes and then kids who are maybe in shelters around the Omaha area are in need of shoes,” said Boys Town National Research Hospital marketing and communications manager Brooke Wittrock.
