Authorities say medical issues are delaying the case against an Oklahoma woman suspected in the death of a newborn baby at a Fort Dodge, Iowa hotel.
Thirty-one-year-old Hillary Tyler remains the primary suspect but she has not been jailed or formally charged.
The baby was found on Tuesday. Tyler was never formally charged or booked into the county jail after a medical issue developed. The specific cause of the health issue was not released.
Fort Dodge police said Tyler would be charged with first-degree murder and was to make a court appearance on Wednesday. Neither occurred because of the medical problem.
