Douglas County sheriff's investigators says a man who was involved in a rollover crash Monday morning blames the crash on an animal in the road. The incident was reported about 5:50 a.m. near 228th and Pacific.
The driver, identified as Anthony Hardies of Gretna, was found when an OPPD crew responded to the scene to check out why power had been cut in the area.
According to investigators, Hardies was traveling on 228th Street and entered a ditch. He hit an embankment then a light pole. He was not seriously injured.
It was not known if a seat belt was used, but the crash report indicated the airbag deployed upon impact.
