Students from McMillan Magnet Center placed second in the 2012 USAD National Academic Pentathlon.
The contest was held online on April 17th.
This is the first year a Nebraska team has participated.
The team from McMillan was made up of 9 students, who were divided into categories based on GPA.
Each student competed in five events, including Language/Literature, Math, Science, Social Studies and Music.
Julius Buckner, Dane Didier, Kassie Ferrin, Chris Kathka, Sam Planck, Sarah Rasing, Elias Rios, Alex Sterling and Elijah Sturek made up the team, they were coached by Katrina Jacobberger-West. In addition to the team’s second place award, six students also won individual medals.
