Nebraska voters cast their ballots in several races Tuesday. Early returns show clear front runners in many of them.
Congressional incumbents Lee Terry, Jeff Fortenberry, and Adrian Smith are all leading in their districts.
The race for U.S. Senate has Bob Kerrey leading on the Democratic ticket. The GOP race will be close. As of 10:15 p.m., with 71% of the vote counted, Deb Fischer is leading Jon Bruning, 40%-36%. Stenberg has 19% of the vote.
Another close race is in the Nebraska Legislature, District 11. Ernie Chambers is less than 100 votes ahead of incumbent Brenda Council.
