Man Walks Into School With Gunshot Wound
Lincoln police say a man walked into Bryan West campus Wednesday morning with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officers called to the hospital interviewed 31-year-old Anthony Branch.
Capt. Michael Woolmen says police were directed to the area of 8th and G streets where the shooting allegedly happened. Anthony and his live-in girlfriend, 28-year-old Linda Pam, got into an argument at their apartment. During the disturbance, a handgun went off, striking Branch. Details of the incident are still under investigation.
Pam was jailed for first-degree domestic assault. Branch’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
While searching for the suspect, Park Middle School was put on lockdown as a precautionary measure.
