An Omaha man was seriously injured when he was hit by an SUV Thursday night.
Police say 52-year-old John Tennihill was running across the street south of the crosswalk at 30th Street and Laurel Avenue when he was struck by a northbound SUV around 11:45 p.m. The driver was not injured.
Tennihill was taken to Alegent Creighton University Medical Center for head, neck and abdominal injuries. Alcohol use by Tennihill is being investigated as a factor in the accident.
