Man Shot At During Wild Car Chase

A 58-year-old Omaha man tells police he was shot at twice while delivering papers early last Saturday morning.

According to police reports, the man told officers he was delivering newspapers in the area of 60th Street and Interstate 80 when a dark colored SUV with dark tinted windows pulled up next to him.

He told police a shot was fired at his car from the drivers' side of the SUV. The victim took off with the suspect vehicle chasing him.

The pursuit wound around the area of 62nd and L street and near 70th and F, a man wearing dark colored clothing jumped out of the SUV and fired another shot at the man's car, then took off east on F Street.

Police recovered a bullet from the victim's car.

Damage to the vehicle was listed at $3,000.

The victim said the van also had double rear doors that open to the sides and no front license plate.
