Michael Sebesta was sentenced to 12 to 20 years in prison for manslaughter, felon in possession, and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
In January, police say Sebesta shot his best friend and roommate, 26-year-old Philip Burden at their apartment near 73rd and Miami. According to prosecutors, Burden supplied Sebesta with drugs; however, Sebesta owed Burden money and the two got into a fight.
Sebesta was initially on the run from police. Several people were arrested for aiding and abetting.
