It was a scary situation Wednesday afternoon for an Omaha man after his car fell while he was trying to change a tire, causing his arm to get stuck. Luckily, he walked away with just a few scrapes and bruises.
Matt Bragg says a jack slipped out from under the vehicle as he was changing the tire outside his home at 168th and Karen near Lake Zorinsky. His arm was pinned between the tire and the wheel well. He was able to use his other hand to grab his phone and call 911.
Bragg said it could've been a lot worse without the help of rescue crews. “Saved the day, you know, kept me from having any other big problems or the actual car falling a little farther on me or whatnot.”
Bragg thinks the slant of his driveway is what caused the car to slip. He said that once crews arrived, they not only got his arm out, they finished changing the tire for him.
