A 21-year-old man who sent a nude photo of himself to four 13-year-old girls is in the Douglas County Jail. Omaha police arrested John "Jake" Guthmiller Wednesday on four counts of child enticement using a cell phone.
“It just brought tears to my eyes and disgust at the same time.”
“He said that he wanted me to put my hands down his pants,” said one of the girls. “It made me feel weirded [sic] out and at the same time scared."
“When he first sent the picture, I acted like I didn't get it because otherwise he would start talking about it,” said another victim. “So he said, did you get the picture, and I said no, what picture? And he sent it again and I deleted it right away again."
The two girls and their two friends first met “Jake" some time ago. They would hang out with him. The girls said that "Jake" made them "feel comfortable like a close friend."
The mother of one of the girls said he's preying on them. “He talks to them and makes them feel like he will listen to their problems and kind of sucks them in."
The text message with the picture was taken into evidence. The police report was filed a month after the incident. The girls said they were threatened.
“I was scared, I was afraid to tell my parents because he threatened my sister about getting their gang on her. I didn't want to tell anyone because I was scared of that. I just don't want him to do it to another girl."
