Police rushed to a northwest Omaha grocery store for a report of a cutting Tuesday just after 3 a.m.
According to police, 25-year-old James Nelson told officers he was walking in the area of 83rd and Western when he was attacked by an unknown suspect. He made it to the Hy-Vee parking lot, which is where officers found him.
Nelson was taken to Methodist Hospital with wound to his hand. He is expected to survive.
Officers blocked off part of the parking lot overnight to process the scene. So far, no arrests have been made.
