A Lincoln man is in a heap of trouble after allegedly going after his girlfriend and then police with a knife. Officers became involved in the situation when they were called to the area of 18th & J Street about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. They were told a man tried to stab the woman.
When they arrived, officers say 32-year-old Pedro Renteria went after them. Officers tried to taze Renteria twice but he managed to run away.
After a short chase, he was arrested & booked for two counts of attempted first degree assault on an officers, attempted first degree domestic assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, resisting arrest, and failure to comply.
