A 22-year-old man has been given six to eight years in prison for breaking into a Lincoln woman's home and beating her.
Cody Dittman, of Norfolk, was sentenced on Thursday afternoon. Dittman had pleaded no contest to felony assault in November after prosecutors dropped a burglary charge.
Police say Dittman went to Jamie Mohr's home on May 23 and told her he wanted a pit bull she had that belonged to a mutual acquaintance. Mohr tried to shut and lock her door to keep him out, but she told officers that he kicked it in and attacked her.
Mohr has since moved to Kansas. She told the newspaper she's relieved the case is over and that she doesn't have to think about it anymore.
