A man faces charges of domestic violence assault, destruction of property, false reporting and a warrant following a disturbance at an Omaha residence Sunday morning.
Officers called to North 46th Street and Redman Avenue just before 4 a.m. say 36-year-old Da Rhonda Whitlock told them she'd been assaulted. The suspect told police Whitlock shot him in the foot, though his injury did not appear to have been caused by gunfire.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to Alegent Creighton University Medical Center for treatment and will be booked once medically cleared.
