A 37-year-old Fremont man accused of sexually assaulting two young girls entered into a plea agreement in Dodge County District Court.
Pablo McDermott pleaded no contest to first-degree sexual assault of a child, third-degree sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography. He faces 20 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on Dec. 10.
As part of the plea deal, other charges against McDermott weren’t pursued.
McDermott was accused of sexually assaulting the daughter of a friend when the girl was between the ages of 3 and 6. McDermott took video of the encounters with his phone.
Another girl told authorities that she was touched inappropriately by McDermott in 2009. The girl was 10 at the time of the alleged incident.
Investigators with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office also found a video depicting child pornography on McDermott’s computer in June.
McDermott remains in Saunders County Jail, where he is being held on a $500,000 cash bond.
