A Lincoln man was arrested Wednesday for domestic assault after allegedly trying to set his pregnant girlfriend on fire.
Police say 25-year-old Quinton Rivers got into an argument with his 20-year-old girlfriend Tuesday night at his home near South 21st and F streets and poured lighter fluid on her and some bedding she was trying to cover herself with. He then threatened to kill her and their unborn child. The woman is nine months pregnant.
Police say Rivers sparked a lighter near her torso, but it did not ignite. A family member arrived, took the woman away and called police.
