Man Accused of Passing Counterfeit Bills

An Omaha man has been arrested and charged with first degree forgery after an alert bartender noticed he was passing bogus $50 bills.

The incident was reported Saturday June 14. An off-duty officer, who was working at the Slowdown near TD Ameritrade Park, reports bar staff noticed several counterfeit bills in their registers. The report says 21-year-old Parker J. Brenneman tried to pass a counterfeit bill to a bartender. She realized the bill was phony and told the off duty officer.

Brenneman was booked at the Douglas County Corrections Center.
