On the crime beat, a man is recovering from a gunshot wound after he accidentally shot himself.
According to Omaha Police reports, officers responded to a call of a walk in gunshot injury at Immanuel Hospital around 2:20 am on August 11th.
A 34-year-old man told police he was at a friend's apartment admiring his companion's handgun when he accidentally shot himself In the left hand.
He then drove himself to the hospital.
He was later transferred to Creighton University Medical Center due to the severity of his injury.
