A man accused of disturbing the peace goes to court dressed as a woman.
Saunders County Attorney Scott Tingelhoff said his assistant was shocked when a male defendant showed up in county court Thursday in a dress and high heels.
The defendant who has a man’s name is charged with putting down a strip of nails or sharp objects that punched the tires of a neighbor.
The man in a dress entered a not guilty plea and told the judge he would defend himself in a jury trial.
No word whether the defendant will go to trial dressed in a suit or a skirt.
