Authorities in southeastern Nebraska say a majority of people attending a drinking party full of minors fled deputies by running into a cornfield.

Someone called authorities at 11:24 p.m. Saturday complaining of loud noise and a possible MIP party south of 12th & Klein Road, which is south of Plattsmouth.

Observing from a distance, Cass County deputies saw at least 30 people playing loud music. When they contacted several people who left the party, the deputies learned they were underage. This gave them probable cause to investigate further.

As the deputies approached the party, a majority of the people fled. Those who remained were rewarded with MIP citations. They are identified as 18-year-old Brian E. Church, 18-year old Conner E. Byrnes, 19-year-old Kody A. Gregg, and 18-year-old Jan C. Oyola.

Also cited was a 17-year-old juvenile for Zero Tolerance.
