Authorities logged a major MIP bust over the weekend near 48th and Hickory, just south of Center.
Neighbors say it was a party put on by some college students Saturday night. Officers ticketed 52 minors for alcohol violations. A 20-year-old was cited for providing the alcohol.
It's the type of police blotter material that has some shaking their heads in frustration.
Project Extra Mile’s Nicole Carritt said, “The right of passage discussion is something we're constantly banging our heads up against. It's the 'I used to do it when I was young and I'm still here.' But we know the research has changed. There's more research on the brain development."
This is the third major MIP party busted this year.
