In celebration of Arbor Day and to enjoy Nebraska trees, MCC Fort Omaha hosted tours throughout campus Friday.
It was a picture perfect day for groups to walk through the North Omaha campus and learn about historic trees, recognized as a “Tree Campus USA”, hosts said MCC offered a unique perspective of local greenery.
“I think they will learn not only about the historic value of the trees and the military history that is alive and well still today here,” Reba Kavern, with MCC said.
Tours started at the Douglas County Historical Society General Crook House and then moved to other notable areas throughout the campus.
