Caico is looking for a welcoming home that will give him some treats, and lots of love.
At the Nebraska Humane Society all it takes it one person, the right person, to make a perfect match. Right now, they are looking for a match for an almost perfect dog.
Meet Caico, he's named after his home island in the turks and caicos. He's a four-year-old German Shepard mix and was raised by a loving home. Caico loves to be around people, whether they take him for a walk, play with him a little, or just hang out. Caico wants to be with someone.
That being said, his choice of companion needs to be adults or children over 12. The reason is that Caico, being an only dog for so long, doesn't share his bones or other prizes well. Since the first thing small children do is grab the bone, the Humane Society wants to make sure nothing happens.
Caico also isn't a huge fan of cats, so he needs to go to a home without felines.
We're told he has lovely manners, and knows how to sit, shake and lay down. He is also pretty treat motivated and very smart, so further training with him would seal your bond and it would be fun.
Caico is what we call a ready made pet - he walks well on a leash, is house trained, knows how to chill inside, play outside, rides well in the car. He just needs to find that special someone who wants to spend time with him.
If that might be you, he's at the Nebraska Humane Society available in their adoption kennels.
