Two Heartland men have a serious message about something fun. They want to give teens a safe place to party this New Years. They hope this prevents teens from turning to more dangerous outlets, where fighting and shootings are possibilities.
"We get a lot of young ladies, a lot of young men that struggle out here in the community," said Quincy Louis Sr. aka "DJ LaRue" of Louis Entertainment. "A lot of them are lost. A lot of them are confused and so we provide an outlet where they won't be judged."
"Teenagers, they feed off of the love that we give," said Latron Louis aka "Chrome" of Louis Entertainment. "So, they understand that we have love for them."
The party starts on Tuesday at 8 PM and goes until 2 AM. The idea is that the kids exhaust themselves at the party, so they don't go anywhere else but home afterward.
The party is being held at the old Scandinavian Hall building at 7575 Crown Point Avenue in Omaha.
