On Tuesday, a local Girl Scout troop gathered in downtown Omaha for a night of volunteering.
The girls volunteered to serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. Their efforts were all part of their Bronze Award Project.
Many girls had fun volunteering. "It's a very important part of being a Girl Scout, about helping others and helping the community," said Angelina Salvucci.
The girls didn't just help around the kitchen, they also had a little celebration. They broke out a cake to celebrate the Girl Scouts' 101st birthday.
