Prime Communications, Inc. announced that the Omaha, Nebraska- based technology company has secured a significant investment from one of Omaha’s most prominent technology businessmen to help the fast-growing company meet the needs of global customer demand.
Founded in 2001, Prime Communications is quickly emerging as a major national player in the information technology (IT) industry with a suite of state-of-the-art wireless, networking and security products. With more than 80 employees and a national presence, the company has established partnerships with companies such as IBM, Aruba Networks, Genetec and Avaya.
The investor, Dr. George Haddix, recognized this momentum and the impact additional capital could make on Prime Communications’ future growth and job creation. While his experience and knowledge in the technology industry is vast, one of Dr. Haddix’s more notable
accomplishments involved the development and packaging of NETCENTER, a network management software system, which he eventually sold to IBM. Dr. Haddix was also one of the
founding partners of Applied Communications, Inc. (ACI) and CSG Systems International. He joins the Prime Communications board of directors alongside the company’s President & CEO
Brian Kenkel, Vice President & COO Steve Kanne and Vice President, Jamie Bumgardner.
“I have founded and invested in numerous technology companies in my lifetime and couldn’t be more excited about the prospects for Prime as an emerging leader in the technology infrastructure industry, both locally and nationally,” Haddix said.
The investment received from Dr. Haddix will go toward a number of long-term business initiatives for Prime Communications, including the development of proprietary IT solutions and products, and an expansion of its sales force on local, regional and national levels.
“We’re excited to have the support, expertise and vision of someone such as Dr. Haddix behind us,” said Brian Kenkel, President & CEO, Prime Communications, Inc. “Together, we will build upon our growing reputation as a national leader in IT infrastructure and security to create a world-class company in our industry.”
