A Lincoln schoolteacher won't be prosecuted on a charge of misdemeanor domestic assault.
The charge against 54-year-old Jeffrey Marsh has been dismissed because he's been approved for pretrial diversion. The program is for
first-time offenders who are accused of certain crimes.
Marsh was arrested on Dec. 10 after a woman told police that he'd thrown her off a bed during an argument. Lincoln police say the woman suffered no visible injuries.
Lincoln Public Schools personnel director Nancy Biggs says a decision on Marsh's status will be made before the semester begins Jan. 9.
A phone listing for Marsh could not be found. Online court records don't list the name of his attorney.
