A Lincoln teacher's aide has been charged with negligent child abuse, a misdemeanor.

Online court records say 28-year-old Terrence Almond bonded out of jail after his arrest on Dec. 19. A public phone listing for him could not be found. The court records don't list the name of his attorney.

Almond was arrested after police responded to a dispute between Almond and a woman.

Almond is assigned to Pershing Elementary School.

Lincoln Public Schools personnel director Nancy Biggs wouldn't
comment on Almond specifically. But Biggs says it's standard practice for employees to be removed from classrooms when the employees are being investigated by police.
