Lincoln police have arrested a 17-year-old Southwest High School student, saying two guns were found in his car parked in the school lot.

Police say the boy was arrested Monday on suspicion of possessing a firearm on school property.

Police Capt. David Beggs says a shotgun and a black-powder rifle were found in the car. Beggs says there's no indication the boy planned to take the guns into the school.

Also Monday, a student found a bullet in a hallway at Lincoln East High School. It was turned over to school officials and was deemed an isolated incident.
