In a scene reminiscent of the old West, a Lincoln police officer managed to get three loose horses back into their pasture.
Police say an officer was dispatched just before 8 a.m. Sunday to an area along the Salt Creek Levee Trail between West Van Dorn and South streets.
Officer Stacy Fitch grabbed one of the horses by its mane. Capt.
David Beggs says Fitch led that horse back to its nearby pasture,
followed by the two other horses.
No injuries to horses or people were reported.
