A 33-year-old Lincoln man is going to prison for using stolen debit and credit cards while being investigated for selling methamphetamine to an undercover police officer.
Viet Tran was sentenced last week to 13 to 26 years in prison for two
theft charges and two drug charges.
Tran had pleaded no contest to the four charges.
Prosecutors say Tran sold methamphetamine to an undercover officer on Dec. 28, 2010.
Then in April 2011, Tran used a woman's credit card without her permission to spend more than $960 at six different stores. And in
May 2011, Tran used stolen credit cards to charge more than $940.
Prosecutors say Tran again sold methamphetamine to an undercover officer in June 2011.
