Lincoln police say a 43-year-old man is behind bars on suspicion of felony charges after kicking officers trying to arrest him.
Eddie Key was arrested just before 1 a.m. Monday. Police say officers first approached Key after someone reported he had violated a protection order.
Police say that after Key was taken into custody, he began to struggle with officers.
Police say one officer was kicked in the face, and another was kicked in the chest.
Key remains behind bars in Lincoln and was not available for comment Monday morning. His case does not yet appear in online court records, so it is not known whether he had an attorney by midmorning Monday.
