Police have ticketed the 14-year-old Lincoln boy who allegedly drove an SUV into a house before leaving the scene.
The 14-year-old son of the vehicle's owner took the SUV without permission. His friend was behind the wheel when he lost control and crashed into the porch of the residence near North 24th and Holdrege streets just after 2 a.m. Tuesday. Both youths then ran away. They were found and returned to the custody of their parents.
No one was hurt, but about $5,000 in damage was done to the SUV and more than $10,000 damage to the home.
