Officials in Lincoln are removing a park's brick artwork after it was determined to be structurally unsafe.
The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department says it will soon begin removing brick artwork from Near South Park at 19th and A streets. The park was closed to the public several months ago after officials discovered the brick work had become structurally unsafe.
The city has worked with an artist on decommissioning the artwork. The park is expected to reopen in April.
