A Lincoln man has been imprisoned for having nude photos of a 14-year-old Nebraska girl who police say was prostituted by her mother.
Thirty-four-year-old Brian McCarthy was sentenced Tuesday to six to 10 years. He'd pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing child pornography.
Authorities say the girl's mother sent the photos to McCarthy after the mother and McCarthy met online last year. The mother has been convicted of prostituting her 7 and 14-year-old daughters by using online ads across south-central Nebraska. Her maximum prison sentences total 170 years. Her name is not being published to protect her daughters' privacy.
McCarthy already is on the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry for a 2000 conviction of sexual assault of a child.
