A 52-year-old Lincoln man has been charged with the attempted sexual assault of a child.
Glen Ogden was arrested on February 8 in Kearney following a two-week investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol and Kearney Police.
Authorities say that during the course of the investigation, Ogden shared child pornography with a State Patrol officer posing online as an adult female. Officials say that Ogden also arranged a meeting for the purpose of having sex with the juvenile daughter of the person with whom he was in contact (the state patrol investigator).
Ogden was taken into custody in the parking lot of a Kearney fast food restaurant on Saturday after meeting with an undercover investigator he believed to be the female he had been corresponding with online.
As a part of the investigation, a search warrant was served at Ogden’s Lincoln residence where investigators seized computers and other electronic devices.
The investigation continues. Ogden could face additional charges.
