Roger Larson, a Lincoln community leader who helped support various organizations and programs over several decades, has died at 87.
Southwood Lutheran Church says Larson died Tuesday. A cause of death was not released.
Larson had a 40-year career at Lincoln radio station KFOR. For years, he ended radio editorials with, "I am Roger Larson, and that is the way I see it."
Larson also held leadership roles for more than 40 organizations. He is credited with raising millions of dollars for community projects.
Mayor Chris Beutler said in a statement that Larson laid down the groundwork for Lincoln's current success.
Larson's memorial is scheduled Friday morning at Southwood Lutheran Church.
