A 4-foot-tall brass statue reported stolen from the Lincoln Children's Museum has been found nearby.
The statue, titled "Glory," was found by a staff member and volunteer in bushes that border the museum and Centennial Mall. Museum officials say they believe it was taken between last Thursday afternoon and early Sunday evening.
The statue is of a boy grasping flags in each hand and was fashioned by artist Jane Rankin. Officials estimated the statue is worth about $7,000 but is considered a "priceless" piece of art by the museum staff.
The statue had been damaged in a previous incident but didn't sustain any new damage during its absence.
