Lightning Halts Bluffs Concert

Lightning forced an early end to the Loessfest concerts in Council Bluffs Sunday night.

Just before 10 p.m., after playing for 20 minutes, Three Dog Night announced to the crowd of 17,125 that everyone’s safety was more important than the concert.

Loverboy took the stage at Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Guess Who.

More entertainment is scheduled Monday night when the Omaha Symphony plays at 8 p.m. followed by fireworks.
