Iowa Inmate Sentenced For Threatening President

Twenty-four-year-old Tommy Eugene Krueger was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for mailing a letter threatening to kill the President of the United States.

United States District Judge John A. Jarvey also sentenced Krueger to three years’ supervised release. The United States Marshal Service in Montgomery, Alabama received a hand-written letter from Krueger in December 2010 threatening to kill President Obama.

Krueger was subsequently interviewed and admitted writing the letter and sending it from the medical facility at which he was housed at within the Iowa Department of Corrections.
