Researchers say it is possible to wake up smarter than you were the day before!
In a new study from Israel, researchers played a particular tone when adult subjects were sleeping and followed that tone with a pleasant or unpleasant smell.
They found the participants reacted to that tone when they were awake, by either inhaling because they expected a pleasant smell -- or cutting their breathing short for an bad smell.
Experts say this is proof people can learn new information while they are asleep.
Next, the researchers plan to learn what cannot be learned during sleep.
