Open Enrollment begins today for the Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties.
Parents of K-12 students living in Douglas or Sarpy counties may consider public schools in 11 school districts . With a goal to increase educational opportunity, students who contribute to socioeconomic diversity receive Open Enrollment priority, followed by students with siblings attending the same school.
Parents no longer need to run to the post office or school district offices to submit their applications – this year parents can apply online 24/7 through the Learning Community website: LearningCommunityDS.org.
The web-based process takes just a few minutes. After parents and students enter basic information, they can then apply to as many as three schools per school district.
